REMNANTS SHOW
ABOUT US
Turas Theatre Collective are based in the West of Ireland.
We are interested in telling stories in different ways that interrupt and interact with everyday life, from comic roving shows to more serious presentations on the human condition.
In 2019 we won the Urbana Ljubliana award for best new emerging international presentation at the Ana Desetnica street theatre festival, Slovenia.
Remnants
is a moving and powerful presentation
on the theme of displacement.
Using soundscape and movement
it tells a visually spectacular and enthralling tale of three characters
whose lives have been disrupted
and who find themselves
alone and homeless
WORKSHOPS
Turas Theatre Collective's show 'Remnants' is a response to their performers experiences
working in refugee camps with the organisation, Clowns without Borders.
The show is suitable for teenagers and young adults and can be
accompanied by a workshop that explores the relevant themes of
displacement, migration and homelessness.
The performers recreate images from the show and invite
participants to take part in a fun, yet provocative and educative workshop.
The Collective also provide workshops in all areas of theatre making including
performance, music and soundscape, set design, costume and puppetry.
